Time to resurrect the blog........

Mary has been home for six months now. What an adventure it has been. Lots of things that we wondered about bringing home a 9 year old have not materialized. She is doing so well. Feels like she has been here for a lifetime, not just a few months.

We are so grateful for the gift that she is to our family. We are blessed. We are thankful that God chose this child to join our family at this time. She is playing soccer, and riding a bike, fitting in so well at home, church and in the neighborhood. It feels that she was born to be our daughter/sister.

She has learned to speak "The American English" understandably, and learned to read this week as well! There are things that come out about her life before she was with us a little bit at a time, usually at night, in the dark, when she has time to be quiet and contemplate all that she has been through. There are always smiles when she tells her stories. She laughs about everything, she has taught us so much about being grateful for every little thing. Not taking life too seriously. She is our Mary Joy.
