I WOULD GATHER CHILDREN

Some would gather money

Along the path of life

Some would gather roses,

And rest from worldly strife.

But I would gather children

From among the thorns of sin,

I would seek a golden curl,

And a freckled, toothless grin.

For money cannot enter

In that land of endless day,

And roses that are gathered

Soon will wilt along the way.

But oh, the laughing children,

As I cross the sunset sea,

And the gates swing wide to heaven,

I can take them in with me!

Hi,
Just wanted to stop by and say "hi" and thank you for joining the friends at A Place Called Simplicity...

I see you live in Colorado too! That's neat! Don't you love it here? We have been here 4-1/2 years and our only regret is that we didn't get here sooner!

Off to put my babies in the tub...they had their first bath yesterday (they only were splashed over with a cup or two of water sitting in a bare tub in the orphanage) but ya' know here we sit them in water and they can splash all they want...they LOVED it - super fun!!

Anyway, blessings from our home to yours...Linny

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this poem. I need to copy it and place it with all the other verses, sayings, etc that I have hung around the house! How are you doing?
