The quilt we won!

Tonight we attended Kami and Jeremy Johnson's benefit dinner and auction for Greater Love Orphanage. We had an incredible time, and left there feeling more sure than ever that our Mary will someday be in our arms. There were so many emotions on this night. We met our agency director, HollyAnn, who just arrived home from her most recent trip to Liberia and the orphanage. She and Kiana were so comfortable with each other, as though they had always known one another. Daddy and I even got to eat dinner together, without children, while HollyAnn held and rocked Kiana to sleep. :) We met families with Liberian children who have been home for a short time. We are blessed indeed. On the drive home, this scripture was like it was on 'repeat' and running through my mind all night long. I think God is telling me something here, and I don't want to forget it.

James 1:2-6

2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
