And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning
all that is done under heaver, this burdensome task God has given
to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised.
Eccl. 1:13

As Solomon discovered, every task God gives is not exciting and
glorious. Some tasks are burdensome and hard. They require
all the energy you have and still do not seem to provide the
rewards you expect.

Are you willing to join God in this kind of work, too?

All-powerful God, Your ways are right,
but they are not always fun.
So often I join in the work and it appears to be hard and unrewarding.
God, make the love relationship so real I am willing to continue,
even when the results are not what I want.
