A basic assignment God gives His people through His Word
is to take care of those who cannot care for themselves.
Only when you begin to obey these basic assignments can you
expect God to give you bigger tasks in His work. Are you
still in the remedial courses of God's work, or are you ready
to accept other assignments, too?

Friend of the helpless, You constantly teach me
that I have resources only because You give
them to me for YOUR work. Forgive my selfishness.
Forgive my blindness to the needs of other people.
I start your basic work today.
